Zelis Deploys Bots to Free Humans for More Cognitive Tasks

Zelis provides a connected platform to bridge the gaps in the health care financial system and align the interests of payers, providers and consumers. Partnering with 775 payers, millions of clinicians and over 100 million health care plan members, the need for automating the claims process was imminent.
Since the commencement of the company's automation process, Zelis has already deployed 60 bots and is on course to take that number to over a hundred in just a few months.
"Automation has helped us tackle a lot of problems including optical character recognition, claims adjudication, coding, NLP-based decisions and more. Associates can now focus on better cognitive functions," says Kali Durgampudi, CTO, Zelis.
