"On the audit side, what most auditors do is sift through massive data looking for anomalies. If I am an auditor, I am looking at thousands of account payable transactions. Auditors cannot be replaced by a computer in my view," Sadin says. "But a lot of work that is done by less experienced folks can be automated. And with AI and pattern recognition, we could be looking for the patterns that would call for attention. By using AI, we can catch things before they become audit problem."

In this video interview, Sadin also discusses:

  • How automation can help fasten the audit process;
  • Tools that can help audit leaders.

Sadin is a technology analyst at Acceleration Economy. He has more than 30 years of experience in the IT industry across logistics, financial services, energy, healthcare and technology functions.
