He is a firm believer that if CIOs and CISOs have to prevent cyberthreats of the future, they must move beyond technologies focused on detection. It is important to look at a new paradigm known as 'sanitization.'

"Besides just technology, people and processes, cyber protection is about continuous innovation. While most technologies in cyber space are detection-based, the paradigm is shifting toward sanitization, which allows enterprise CISOs to protect businesses from undetectable threats. That is how Athena Dynamics was born," Koh says.

In this video interview with Information Security Media Group, Koh discusses:

  • How to scout for growth opportunities beyond conventional roles;
  • Importance of data cleansing before technology transformation;
  • Look beyond detection technologies to protect from the unknowns.

Soh has served more than 150 enterprises since the inception of Athena Dynamics. In the past, he held senior leadership roles with various large Singapore-based organizations, including Temasek Polytechnic and NCS Group.
