Technology is set to play a pivotal role in deciphering voter sentiments and predicting outcomes in the upcoming 2024 general elections in India. Axis My India - a key player in election forecasting - uses a data-driven approach to predict election outcomes. The company's prediction and forecasting strategy revolves around three key elements: outreach, connection and comprehension, said Pradeep Gupta, founder, chairman and managing director of Axis My India.

"We see elections as significant as any major sporting event like the Olympics or World Cups, happening once every four years. We start preparing for [elections] a year in advance, analyzing various societal, geographical and demographic data sets," Gupta said. "Our in-house developed tracking and software analysis tools intensify collecting of field data each quarter leading up to the election thus ensuring accurate forecasts and data-rich information."

Building upon its expertise in election forecasting, Axis My India is now collaborating with Google to develop a super app, designed to serve as a consultant or advisor for the general public. The platform seeks to revolutionize people’s access to various services, including government social welfare schemes, impacting up to 250 million households.
